Contact Us

Unfortunately, Warwickshire is currently in Tier 3 so we, like all hospitality businesses in the county are closed.  We are so sorry if you had a booking with us during December - we really did think that after Lockdown 2 we would be able to reopen for the festive period to allow family and friends to get together in a covid safe environment.

We are contacting all bookings individually, but please bear with us as with all the team back on furlough this is taking time.

We do not know when we will be allowed to reopen but are trying to stay positive and taking bookings for January onwards for all dates in 2021.  We hope that covid rates in Warwickshire go down quickly and that we get into Tier 2...or even better Tier 1... early in the New Year. That would be the best Christmas present for us all!

So, if you have a birthday or anniversary coming up - or maybe you have a host of belated celebrations from 2020 to still mark -  send us an email and we will get it penciled in.... we all need some things in our diary to look forward to after such a terrible year.

All bookings are currently being taken by email - see the box below - and we promise to come back to you as soon as we can.  (Please be aware that, depending on the security system you have installed on your computer, sometimes our emails go into junk mail boxes - so please keep an eye on your junk mail just in case).
We look forward to hearing from you.

Other things we think you should know about coming to

El Greco in these Covid times:

All customers are now required to wear face coverings at all times in restaurants when NOT actually seated at a table - ie on arrival, on departure, when accessing toilets.

Hand sanitiser is available at each entrance and other key points within the restaurant.  There is also a hand sanitiser dispenser on EVERY table.

All customers are now required to be actually off the premises by 11pm. Last orders for food is 9.30pm and drinks 10pm. Bills will be issued by 10.30pm at the latest. (if you need us to pack up your pud or whack a cork in your unfinished bottle of wine - just ask!)

The maximum booking we can now take is for 6 persons (from 1 household in Tier 2 and up to 6 different households in Tier 1).  We are NOT permitted to take larger groups - not even if they are spread over various socially distanced tables and booked under different names.  Different rules apply for weddings and funerals.

With significantly reduced capacity in the restaurant because of socially distancing rules, booking in advance is more important than ever.  Table times - ie the time you arrive and how long your table is also allocated to you - are also having to be restricted as a result.  As a guide, most evening tables for 4, 5 and 6 people will be either at 5pm or between 7.30 - 8.30pm and allocated for 2.5 hours. Tables for 2/3 people will generally be at 5pm, 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm, 8pm or 8.30pm and allocated for 2 hours.

Tables will generally not be available until their booked time, so coming early may result in you being asked to come back later. Unfortunately, we are currently not able to offer an inside waiting area or a pre- dinner drinks service as our bar is closed due to the covid restrictions. Also, If you are going to be late we ask that you phone and let us know so we can advise if we are still able to accommodate you.  Tables will not generally be able to be kept for more than 15 minutes to allow enough time for you to eat and then for us to sanitise the table and chairs before the next customers.

Please do not attend the restaurant if you have any Covid symptoms. If you do need to cancel, for whatever reason, please do let us know.  It will  enable your space to be allocated to someone else.  It will also ensure that your name and contact details are removed from our records  - we are currently required to keep customer details for 21 days for Track and Trace purposes.

Customer toilets are available for diners only. They are cleaned regularly.  Customers on the ground floor are asked to use the toilet (also disabled and baby change) on the ground floor. Customers on the first floor are asked to use the toilets on the first floor. This is to minimise movement around the restaurant.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer our famous Greek nights and Greek dancing shows.

We apologise for the formal way in which all this sounds - going out for a meal should be a relaxed and pleasurable experience - and we promise that we will do all we can to ensure that is still the case...but we also feel it is important that we are open and transparent with our customers as regards the Covid rules and the protocols we have in place.

We are all in this together and we all have to do everything we can to keep everyone as safe as we can.

Worried about coming into a restaurant at the moment?

Why not think about coming at lunchtime for a meal instead.  We are open from noon every day. Now summer is over and the schools are back this is a much quieter time in the restaurant. Or maybe even consider a mid afternoon booking.  This is the quietest time in the restaurant and particularly good for people a little more nervous about going anywhere with people at the moment.

Whatever you decide, we look forward to welcoming you soon to El Greco
